- Information/Cyber Security Consultant
Our client is in the financial services industry and has a permanent vacancy for an Information/Cyber Security Consultant to be based in their Bournemouth office with flexible working arrangements.
The primary purpose of the role is to support the Head of Information Security & Cyber/Ops Lead with the implementation of the Information Security Strategy, as well as to protect the organisations data from Cyber-attacks.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide expert security guidance to the wider IT teams
Assist in the development, maintenance and improvement of the InfoSec Management system so that certification to ISO27001 is maintained
The assessment, delivery and management of technical controls and processes to reduce Cyber Security Risk
Mature the configuration of technical security tools
Monitoring of systems and alerts
Detection and management of cyber incidents
Responding to security alerts and incidents
Development of cyber-response playbooks, first responder training, table top exercises
Facilitate penetration tests where required & manage remediation of findings
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders
Lead on the management of information security incidents/cyber incidents
Skills & Qualifications
5 years experience working in Information Security
Excellent understanding of InfoSec principles and frameworks, data protection and regulatory compliance (ISO27001, GDPR, FCA, ICO, PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials)
Experience of Cyber Security Incident Management
Ability to conduct internal audits and write reports
Degree or equivalent professional security qualifications and certifications eg CISSP, CISM, CISA
Desirable - ISO27001 lead implementer/auditor, ITIL v 3
